Terms

The terms that apply to this site, and how they sit alongside a signed scope of work.

Last updated 31 August 2026

About these terms

These terms cover the use of everythingecom.com. They are not the agreement that governs a project. If you engage us, the work is governed by the proposal, quote or scope of work we sign with you, and that document takes precedence over anything here.

Everything Ecom is an ecommerce studio operating from Cape Town, South Africa.

Using this site

This website exists to describe what we do and to let you get in touch. Everything on it is provided in good faith and for general information.

Please do not use the site to break the law, to try to gain access to systems or data you have no right to, or to interfere with how the site works for other people.

Getting in touch

Sending us an enquiry does not create a contract and does not oblige either of us to anything. We are also under no obligation to take on a project. A working relationship begins when both sides agree written terms for it.

Do not send confidential material through the contact form. Ask us first and we will find a sensible way to receive it.

Our work and who owns it

Where we build something for a client, ownership of the delivered work is set out in that project's agreement. As a rule, finished deliverables belong to the client once they have been paid for.

The tools, methods and internal systems we use to do the work remain ours, including anything we build for our own use across clients.

The content of this site, including its writing, design and any case studies, belongs to Everything Ecom. Please do not copy it wholesale. Quoting a line and linking back is welcome.

Internal tools and connected platforms

We build software for our own use that connects to third party platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, TikTok and Shopify, through each provider's official authorisation process.

These tools are internal. They are not offered to the public, they access only accounts we have been granted permission to manage, and they operate within the terms of each platform they connect to. Any account owner can withdraw that access at any time.

What we do not promise

We describe past work honestly, but ecommerce results depend on product, price, market and timing. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of a particular outcome, and no figure shown here should be read as a forecast for your business.

The site is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will always be available or entirely free of errors, though we would like it to be both.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives at this address, with the date it last changed shown at the top.
